White Shark Trust - Field Research Assistant - November 2004

The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Alex BROWN (Burnham, England), Trey SNOW (Wilmington, North Carolina, USA), Nicolas PADE (Nivaa, Denmark) and John NICHOLS (La Jolla, California, USA).


	On Tuesday the 9th of November 2004, Tracey, Alex, John, Nick and Trey left on their road trip along the Garden Route... Unfortunately, our car broke down 100kms from Gansbaai, and Michael went with the Landcruiser to tow them back. On Wednesday the 10th of November, they rented a car and left (again) for their adventures...





	They drove along the N2 to Mossel Bay, Knysna and stopped at Nature's Valley to enjoy the beach. They drove further on Wednesday to Jeffrey's Bay where they stayed at Island Vibe for three nights. Jeffrey's Bay is one of the best surfing spots on the planet...











On Friday the 12th of November 2004, they drove further east past Port Elizabeth to the Addo Elephant National Park for the day... They had a great time in the park! Elephants everywhere... enjoying a braai while watching Elephants is probably not something many people have experienced.







	On Saturday the 13th (fortunately not a Friday for crazy John and Trey), on their way back, they stopped at the highest Bungee Jump bridge in the world... 216 meters of suicidal experience! Trey and John faced the 280 meters of emptiness below the Bloukrans bridge, and trusted Face Adrenaline to bring them back up... They stayed Saturday night near Knysna and returned to Gansbaai on Sunday...
