The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Callum Michael CALL (Aberdeen, Scotland), Holly FRANK (Surprise, Arizona, USA), James van den BROEK (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia), and Nicola PYLE (Portsmouth, Hampshire, England).

We welcomed back Andy B. Casagrande IV to the White Shark Trust as a guest for a few weeks...

On Saturday the 21st of August 2004, we launched Lamnidae and went to the spring 'residence' of our Dyer Island White Sharks, known as Holbaai, our inshore area... Absolutely glass flat day at sea... no wind... no breeze... but unfortunately overcast, but the underwater visibility was better. But we are still the only boat exploring this area for the moment... Wonderful day!!!
We observed five different White Sharks today... And if yesterday could get any better, well today certainly turned out to be that day! We had great fun with the Sharks in those summerly conditions. And from what we heard, the Sharks are slowly disappearing from around Dyer Island, so we will soon have to share this area with the commercial operators...
Saturday evening, we were invited by Michael Rutzen for a Tequila Party... A good-bye party for Oswado Ballabio who has been filming White Sharks at Dyer Island for a few weeks, and to Michael Rutzen and Jenna Cains who are soon leaving to the UK for a series of talks about White Sharks...
