The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Benjamin WESTROPE (Wilmington, North Carolina, USA), Jennifer LEE (Arcadia, California, USA) and Christopher POOLE (Nottingham, England).

On Tuesday the 6th of April 2004, we welcomed Sonja Fordham from The Ocean Conservancy in Washington who wished to see the Sharks she has been fighting for at the 20th meeting of the CITES Animals Committee meeting in Johannesburg last week... We observed six different White Sharks on a most beautiful day! Chris has a message for his little sister he would like to share also...
On Wednesday the 7th of April 2004, Shark Diving Unlimited kindly invited Sonja Fordham to join them on board Barracuda for a cage dive with the White Sharks... While Sonja was diving, we had an amazing day on Lamnidae! The weather and sea conditions were wonderful, we observed 12 different White Sharks and on the way back, we played with Dolphins...
We observed six Sharks in the first couple of hours of the early morning, and then the Shark got quiet... We then moved to another area on the other side of Dyer Island... and after a couple more hours of chumming, six more Sharks visited Lamnidae. Among these last six Sharks, two Sharks were very curious and we had a great time!
