The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Alan DUNCAN (Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland), Chris MILNES (Grantham, Lincolnshire, England), Andy CASAGRANDE (Santa Cruz, California, USA), Polly CROUCH, Alice CLARKE (London, England), and Rick HOLMES (Likely, BC, Canada).

Thursday the 23rd of October 2003... our first day without sharks in many months... the sea was quite rough, and after three hours of waiting, we just saw one small shark very quickly...

So we decided to return to shore to go to the beach enjoy some body surfing, maybe our luck with sharks would be better there...

And here are some photographs taken by Andy Brandy Casagrande IV (ABC4) during the last few days, and during our playtime in the surf at Erlkraalsmond...
Followed by some photographs taken by Alan Duncan including some of the best sunset pictures ever taken...
And some more photographs taken by Chris Milnes during the past few days...
We did not see any sharks (fortunately) while swimming and surfing in the ocean at dusk, in shallow and murky waters splashing around...

The weather forecast did not look too bright for the next few days, so Tracey, Polly, Alice, Chris, Andy, Rick and Alan went on a roadtrip for three days along the Garden Route on Friday the 24th of October...
