The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Michael UNWIN from Watford (United Kingdom) and Jessica da Silva from Toronto (Canada).

Wednesday the 14th of May 2003... last day at sea for Jessica... and none of the seven sharks we observed today seemed to want to say goodbye either as they visited us each for just a very short time... Beautiful day, but the sea was up-and-down...
We also welcomed two MCM (Marine & Costal Management) representatives on board Lamnidae, Sasha and Marc, who will be involved with Shark related management issues at MCM, and this was their first introduction to the Great White Shark!
On Thursday the 15th of May 2003, MikeS and MikeU drove Jessica to Hermanus to take the shuttle to the airport and fly back to Canada... a very emotionnal moment again... but Jessica will be back in South Africa soon again!

In Hermanus, the Dassies or Rock Rabbits, closest relatives to the Elephants, came to say good-bye to Jessica!
