The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Michael UNWIN from Watford (United Kingdom), Jessica da Silva from Toronto (Canada) and Andrew BLAKE from Newport (Wales, UK).

Sunday the 11th of May 2003, we managed to go out to sea again after a few days of bad weather... it was a really cold weather, but we observed seven different White Sharks today!

Our South African winter seems definitely to have started at the beginning of May...

On Tuesday the 13th of May 2003, Andrew was leaving the program... to see one of our assistants leave is, as always, a sad moment. But we made the most of our day (a long one!), and we visited Boulder's Beach and it Penguin colony, and then drove to the Cape of Good Hope before driving Andrew to the airport...
