The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Michael UNWIN from Watford (United Kingdom), Jessica da Silva from Toronto (Canada) and Andrew BLAKE from Newport (Wales, UK).

On Thursday the 8th of May, we welcomed Alison Cock (South African Museum / University of Cape Town) who has been studying predation behaviour (and breaches) of White Sharks in False Bay for the last cople of years.
We also welcomed on board Lamnidae, Karl Laroche and his supervisor Dr. Larry Dill from Canada who is starting a study on the movement patterns of White Sharks in False Bay using the sophisticated WRAP system.

We observed 13 different White Sharks on this quite windy day!

Below are some of the photographs taken by Jessica da Silva during the past week... some images from our last trip with Shark Diving Unlimited to dive with the sharks, and from their walk along the rocky shores of De Kelders...
